anyone have any solutions to keeping this from happening? its a drain valve on a water storage tank... thanks [IMG]

- 1) Drain the water and leave the valve open before leaving it to freeze. 2) Heat the area. 3) Heat the water and install an even shorter valve nipple. 4) Increase the room's insulation and seal all air-leaks that cause the room to freeze. 5) If it's a shed enclosure, wrap it with a dark tarp during the colder weather for Solar Heating. 6) Install a pump to circulate the water through a simple homemade Solar Heating Panel. 7) Install a gas or oil line to run a Pilot Flame under the valve's nipple. 8) Bury the storage tank below the region's frost-line.
