What's the name of this 12v switch I'm after?

Finally getting round to fixing my Honda MTX 125, two and a bit yrs after it got stolen and recovered. The barstewards ripped the ignition and a load of wiring out (amongst lots of other damage). I've replaced the wiring, but need a switch for the ignition.

There are 4 wires, lets call them On1, On2, Off1, Off2. The ignition being on wants only On1 and On2 to be connected. Turning the ignition off wants only Off1 and Off2 to to be connected. Surely this must be a simple switch - it either connects one pair or the other pair. A simple rocker or toggle switch will be fine, I'll fasten it to the handlebars.

I've looked through some of the switches on CPC, but am a little confused - is it a DPDT switch that I want or something different?

Are either of these the right ones?

thanks!

The second one will do what you describe (DPDT), but I'm surprised that spares aren't available from somewhere, if only a scrappie.

Chris

I did think about getting a new ignition for it, but there's nothing left on my bike, no fairing, ignition housing, nothing at all except the handlebars, so I didn't think it worth going to the hassle of replacing it with the proper stuff as it will never be more than a field bike now. Thanks for the reply though.

Yes - a DTPT can be wired as described. You'd probably want a waterproof one, though.
