were fitting out new offices and I came across this tool left behind by someone. I asked the phone installer if it was his but he said no. Perhaps its to do with a network installation?

Looks like it is for RJ45 IDC network plugs. Doesn't look like a highquality tool, they may be glad to have lost it!

So what's the phone connection? The plug is flat but the BB plug is lumpy so you can't confuse them. I think the US version has similar sockets according to the illustrations which show the US version of the microfilter (for my UK tp-link router).

BT proprietary used nowhere else in the world. It has a name, but i cant be arsed to look it up
