These 16W D-shaped tubes like this:
We have an older Astro Osaka Ceiling light that uses one of these, and the other day when I turned it on, it lit for a fraction of a second and then went off. The unit was getting volts (checked with a meter), and the lamp was OK (checked using another identical fitting) so that only leaves the electronics gubbins that drives that lamp. But what does it do and is it likely to be available anywhere as a spare?
All those Astro Osakas seem to be LED these days.
