Does that make it OK, then?
Does that make it OK, then?
? Just what do you disagree with in my statement? Perhaps you think Trump in the prime of life? ;-)
Quite. Racism has nothing to do with the colour of the skin, which was my point.
Allegedly being the word. If you choose to believe everything the meja tries to wind people up with.

Make what OK?
Colour is not the same as race - neither is nationality.

Your simple definition of ageism.
It's not a fact that it applies to all? Are you actually Peter Pan?

Ageing is what applies to us all.
It clearly does. People can learn to speak differently, even act differently and thus hide their origins, but they cannot change their skin colour - race is an immutable characteristic. Many other things (religion, sexual orientation, political leanings, etc.) can be hidden away (or, in some of those cases, change over time), but race and gender can't.

What 'race' are you thinking of? Slavs?
Some people seem to think that Irish is a race.
It can but rarely does for some.
What, from the authorities (legally I mean)?
Quite, but for some, a 'foreigner' is a 'foreigner'.
See above.
You only need to 'hide' those thing you are being persecuted for and re the EU ref it was *only* that you didn't belong here (as some saw it), irrespective if you were gay, black or straight white.
It was the *principal* of that anyone not native to these lands, who hadn't 'paid in' to the system from birth, wasn't welcomed here.
Again, it's all the "They come over here ..." attitude, one you don't seem to be trying to counter (other than with weasel words). ;-(

On one group a guy posted great deals on fresh meat from a Chinese supermarket - I posted to high risk for me currently. I was accused of being Coronaphobic !
Quite. So 'ageism' is simply a comment on life.
Does that mean that others working here and paying taxes ain't entitled to the same services as you?
I wasn't thinking of any in particular.

You seem still not to comprehend the difference.
Ageism is discriminating like racism but on the basis of age.
But 10 year-olds aren't legally allowed to drive, or drink or do both of course.
When do yuo get to the point where you will allow 10 year-olds to drive provided they have passed the test(s) and have a suitable car for their size.
Here;s an intresting one in the USA when an 8 yearold learns how to drive by watching youtube
