Being a newbie, what is the best tape to use to hold two bits together when gluing? There seems to be a bewildering choice at very different prices.
Low tack masking tape.
Cheap and easily removed with almost no residue left to clean.
Gorilla tape. Mind you we were using gorilla glue ... and had got it all at the same time. The gorilla glue fixed a chip back on to the concrete step several years ago and it's still there.
For wood, I prefer sellotape - you can see what you've done. Low tack doesn't matter.
