Not sure if it's the same series as last night's programme on pimple squeezing, if it is I don't want to see what they do to the fruit and veg.

The last damming TV programme I saw on them was quite critical of the pressure staff were under to bring out stock, how close items were to expiry on the shelf, and whether them(/or Lidl) had stock lying around without refrigeration.

As damning videos go that's somewhere between tame & lame.

The only thing wrong with competing on time for tasks is that it hasn't been standard for a long time. Too many businesses have let their staff work at the speed of slug. Zero basis was offered for the comparison with Usain Bolt, no basis for the claim that only one person on the planet could work at such speed - it was just classic let's make it up.

All supermarkets have bad produce on display. Sure they should sort it, it's cheaper to let the customers do it though. Asda is far worse.

None of the supermarkets I've ever shopped at have been perfect. Aldi imho are among the best of the supermarkets.

Our local Aldi only really time people on tills. They are expected to average a certain rate after a few weeks' practice, and it isn't hard.

The 'clock' stops when they key in the method of payment, so the sooner you tell them that after ringing up the last item, the better it is for them.

I assume you have never been to a 24 hour opening Tesco branch at 2am and found most of the recently replaced food in the freezers was soft (virtually defrosted).
