well they do lean to the left. Yesterday the government stated that take home pay had gone up (due to all the tax thresholds being changed), the beeb went out of its way to change it to wages had gone up and then dispute it by asking people if they had had pay rises.

Of course it could have been incompetence by the reporter.

Several bulletins led with Labour's reaction when the story was still so new they then had to recap on what the govt. had said.

That looks Like the telly from my "share a house/rubbish tip" with a load of mates. Many who left home youngish or were students will be familiar with the situation. We had a source for cheap beer and the only place to stack the cans was to use them as a TV stand.* Like a gasometer it reflected consumption rising up over the weekdays, dropping down a bit in the evenings and descending a lot over the weekend especially Sundays in those days when pubs closed in the afternoon. Naturally at times the set wasn't level but it didn't matter because by then we weren't either.

  • actually the beer came first, It was the only place that the rented DER set would fit.

Another is true, ant it's NOT the government!

What this spinning government forgot to mention in that little announcement was the fact that the period they are gloating about, VAT had been increased, inflation has risen faster than pay, benefits for working families have gone down, energy prices have gone up - so stick those figures into the spinning pot and things really are worse that they say.

Just look at the panic that they went into to 'prove' their figures when they were questioned at their weekly Parliamentary hand-bag fight.

The don't call 'em the *CONdems* for nothing.

As I read somewhere today, there are three types of lies which are - Lies, Damn Lies and *Tory* *Statistics*

No it hadn't

inflation has risen faster than pay,

Than wages but not take home pay

Yes.

Yes.

- so stick those figures

They are what they said.

Its easy enough to prove, just look up the tax allowances and the NI rates.

No, all I want is that the guest presenters, over time, represent political balance.

Anyway, who rattled your bars? I thought you'd got the monk on.
