Small cordless screwdriver for electrical device screws

Having watched the electrician wire up our house extension and use a small electric screwdriver to whiz small screws in and out, I bought a cheap Workzone one which did me fine.

However after 4 years in storage it won't charge (NSS).

So can anyone recommend a good quality small electric screwdriver for not too much money?

I have no doubt that the Bosch ones are good but they are also a bit pricey.

Cheers

Someone bought me a Black and Decker one for Xmas which is rather nice.

I've also got a couple of Aldi ones (Workzone?), a cheap looking one and a more robust looking one. The robust one seems to have more 'umpf' but it is newer so it could just be the older one's batteries are failing.

The robust Aldi one is on a par performance wise with the B&D one but the latter has a few features such as multi-bit holder etc.

Can the battery pack not be replaced, or maybe the charger is knackered. I suspect its the cells. Brian

But just how do you get all the slots in the screws aligned neatly with a power screwdiver? ;-)

Rating my time at a very low per hour cost I think that refurbishing a £15 or so screwdriver will not be cost effective.

Not true to the principles of make do and mend, but I have to remind myself that sometimes cost benefit analysis should be used. :-)

Wickes - screwdrivers are cheap & OK

The Bosch one I bought came with offset and right angle adapters - very useful on the rare occasions I've needed them.

Aldi have taken some of the guesswork out of it all with an online service:

Everything except screwdrivers :-)

Aldi have stolen a march on Lidl with that service. Although pity it doesn't have what the OP wants.

If they keep everything in stock, logic says they can't match the special offers in Lidl.
