For most such equipment such spares are not available anywhere. Dead items of the same model are generally not the easiest to find now.

Forgive us if we might be a bit off towards homeownershub but historically all we see is the occasion plonker reply to someone who died a number of years ago, or a one post wonder.

If you reply you might just get some help!

In the meantime I suggest you google the model number where you will get at least one UK site with exploded diagrams and parts-lists.

Yay! I think I've just figured out how to killfile *every* homeownershub posting (I use Pan as my news client and I've never tried filtering a whole 'domain' before - I've selected 1 month expiry just in case - I've never been able to figure out how to edit the killfile filter settings - there doesn't appear to be any provision in its UI to tinker with it outside of adding a new entry).

If I *have* managed to kill every homeownershub posting, that's a few less presses of the 'N'(ext unread post) key I need to make to "Move along - nothing to see here". :-)

Also I'd be very worried if this section has melted as this seems to suggest its not been working for some time. Sadly in this world of ours unless you are lucky to find one with a different fault many of these companies want you to chuck it and buy a new one, which of course is subtly different in design of course! I have an oldish Ryobi chainsaw but ICBA to check the number at the moment. However, an oil pump gear failed when it was out on loan, and the person who borrowed it had no difficulty finding drawings and spares (not unreasonably expensive) on the web.
