RIP The Medway Handyman

Sad to here, he was about on here a long time in the past, but probably went to forums or local whatsapp later on. 70 should be no age these days. Its the age I am and of corse I could wake up dead tomorrow, but I know a lot of folk who are healthy at over 90 years old so one never can tell. Brian

Yes and talking of trolls there seem to be a good few of them being their usual silly selves in this thread. Brian

How very sad. Can't have been that old, either. Please pass on my condolences to his family.

Yes, I remember when he was just dithering about whether or not to set up his company. Long time passing.

Dave Plowman (News) has brought this to us :

..and mine too.

R.I.P. Mr Lang.

I can't say we agreed on everything and we did have the occasional disagreement, but I found him consistently good-humoured and often very amusing. Condolences to the family.

I have had that trouble in the past. It was cured by deleting the "reply" button and leaving only the "follow up" option.

Thanks Adam. Always enjoyed his contribtions. Remember him seeking advice for tools to carry in his van when he set up his handyman business, and telling how his website had been copied, with very little modification, by someone in the US.

I guess he was relatively young if he was still working.

Remember he hated cyclists and tried to get me the sack from BP by attending the 2012 AGM with "Judith" and "Mr Benn" and handing over a letter filled with lies about me. RIP.

That's a *lie*.

You prefer it to the truth because the truth embarrasses you (as well it should).

The letter contained no lies. You were posting from work in your employers time and taking the piss. You should have been sacked on the spot for gross misconduct. And if you really believe that Judith and Mr Benn actually attended that meeting you are more stupid than I thought. As Judith said, "That was the icing on the cake".

What was the truth?

We were allowed to use the Internet at work. It had nothing to do with Mr Lang or anyone else what I did at work. He was just a trouble causer, like Judith and Nuxx Bar were. Sad for his poor family though.

I'm aware of that, I go further the hiding one icon, I hide the entire message-pane toolbar. So I only have the main toolbar at the top, which doesn't have the "smart reply" button, just "reply" and "reply-all".

Reply on the two toolbars behaves differently, and I was wondering if they've some how altered how it behaves?

I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences to you, his friend, and to his family.

It may be some little comfort to the family to hear that so many people who have never met David, but only read his posts on this NG, have expressed their sadness at his passing.

He fell empty head first straight into the obvious trap. Pillock.

Judith, Dave and Mr Benn did not attend that meeting.
