Hi all. The lead supply pipe is under the hall floorboards and then disappears inder the concrete floor in the kitchen for a distance of about 9 feet. When I replace the lead water supply pipes with MDPE, will I have to bury it or can I let it lie on the kitchen floor behind the base units.?
Or should I cut the mdpe when it reaches the kitchen and connect it to copper? Oh and 15mm or 22mm?

You can leave it above the floor if you want to the blue poly won't condense like copper. go with the 22mm. If you want to go fully pressurized later.
The MDPE should be 25mm. Any Cu/PB/PEX should be 22mm. Once you are behind the kitchen units, you can run whatever you are most happy with, although if you change from MDPE, I'd strongly recommend putting a full bore stop c*ck there as it's best to have as many of the pipe joints as possible AFTER the stopcock, rather than before, for maintenance. Obviously, the underground stuff should be MDPE. Don't stick 20mm MDPE or 15mm Cu/PB/PEX anywhere, except for runs to individual fittings that aren't bath taps.
