The balancing foot has broken off my Sony pocket radio. I am wondering the best adhesive to effect a repair. I have heard that superglue is not very good for plastic and that two part epoxy resin is (or was) the best. However, the amount needed (about one drop) hardly justifies mixing two components. Is there any other glue of the modern variety (eg Gorilla) or one part epoxy that would do the job?

I would consider "No more nails" or "Sticks like Sh*t" from Screwfix.
If it's a thin bit of plastic, forget it unless you can fashion some sort of splint from scrap plastic. If that's possible, then superglue will probably work.
....but bear in mind that a new tube of either of the above will cost way more than the amount of epoxy you will have to throw away after mixing enough to be sure you get the ratio right.

I find the *shelf life* of those too short for occasional use (6 months?)
Two part resins last years on my shelves.
What do you use to mix small quantities?
I use an unfolded paper clip. I find that I can squeeze out a 5mm x 5mm "drop" of each part fairly accurately, almost next to each other but not touching. Then I just use the paper clip to mix them up.
1) Find all those other little jobs you've left around the house waiting until you get a round tuit. Gather them together with your radio. 2) Measure out no less than one inch of Araldite from each tube because to try and mix a smaller amount is likely to lead to inaccuracies. Mix. 3) After you have fixed the radio and whatever else, throw the remaining mixed Araldite away. 4) Note that, had you done a less good job with a less appropriate product you would have spent a lot of money on something whose shelf life will expire in no time at all while your left-over tubes of Araldite will still be good in years and years and years.
