Respect for Sonnaz Nooranvary, who does the re-upholstery on "The Repair Shop". They don't tend to show the boring, repetitive stuff on the show, but there are obviously lots of it.
I just decided to re-upholster a G-Plan carver chair. It was over 50 years old, but still in very good condition. Unfortunately, being that old the seat cover and stuffing didn't meet the current fire-resistance requirements. So I started by removing the material and foam stuffing. It was a /lot/ easier said than done, as it was held on with staples. G-Plan really went over the top - there were 211 of them!
