Have you never heard of a clean air room. We used to have one where we worked. However if the air was so clean, why did the filters eternally need changing? Brian

Outside air had to enter the room somehow. Often the rooms were operated with a positive air pressure with respect to outside air so that when doors were opened the flow is from the inside to outside rather than the other way around which may have brought in dust from the unfiltered outside air.

Most airborne house dust is human skin particles which can be filtered. If you want to capture pollen, an electrostatic dust collector is better.

No it isn't. That is an urban myth.

About 60% of house dust is from outside sources

The other 40% is dust from fluffy toilet paper.
