Potterton Suprimo 60 Boiler problems

Jan 13, 2005 3 Replies

A mate of mine is having problems with the boiler which cuts out when running normally. It is not under guaratee. He has contacted the installation plumber and the manufacturers and has been told it could be a Printed Circuit Board fault or a gas valve fault. But they don't really want to help any further....Their suggestions are wait until it breaks down and then get someone in. Can anyone help? Is this a known problem with the boiler. Someone has mentioned the thermocoupler might be faulty? Thanks for any help and guidance Mick

Have a Google search for cetled?? and Suprima, and discover all about the piece of pox that controls these things..

The gist seems to be c***p soldering on the PCB. Or at least remaking every solder joint on the PCB for my Suprima stopped the intermittent lockout.
