I down loaded an 8 page pdf from Nextbase telling me how to download files from my dashcam.
Very helpful but following modern trends it was white on black and goodness knows what that would do to my printer ink if I printed it. So right click, select "Nuance's Convert to Word" and it did perfectly, except it's the Greek version.
At my age it is very easy to believe I have finally lost it so I tried again and it did it again. That seems to imply that a pdf can contain documents of several languages but Foxit Reader (my my default pdf viewer) is clever enough to show the version pertaining to the OS language. Is that possible?
In addition a warning. Some time after down loading it I had an email from Nextbase asking me to participate in a survey on its customer service. I thought I would take part and tell it that producing white on black documents is moronic. I then twigged that I hadn't given an email address to download it and on closer inspection it was from "tidioreply.com" so presumably spam.
Is this an astonishing coincidence or has some bot put my email address together with the fact I have been asking questions about Nextbase on Usenet?
