Patio door - locking mechanism ??

Hi there,

I've moved into a new house that has PVC sliding doors into my conservatory. I guess these were the old patio doors on the back of the house before the conservatory was put on.

The levers to lock and unlock the door have snapped off. I've managed to remove the levers and the bolt that goes through the locking mechanism. It looks like a long square bar, with a twist in one end.

Any ideas where I could get a new one of these, I've searched all the B&Q's etc. and they don't seem to sell anything even like this ???

Thanks, Roy.

Screwfix does replacement hinges and door handles for pvc frames, but that's it. There must have been dozens of these different frame profiles and locking mechanisms over the years and without knowing who installed the doors and which system they used then I think you are stuffed. If the previous owner had these installed then I would ask them which firm they used. Otherwise, you will probably need to call out a replacement windows/doors repair firm.
