On the news today there seems to be at least one lorry with an illumiated screen driving endlessly around with some political slogan on it. What with congestion, can this be legal?

Dunno. I know the van you mean, but was unable to read the message on it.

You don't mean this bus?

(which photo bombed the evening news). ;-)

Only if its in favour of the EU.

Well they have been seen around here. Is it not just the same as advertising on a truck? I'm not sure about how dangerous it might be. Flashing up a picture of a naked woman might be very off-putting to driving concentration, I can see that system hackers could have a field day with such devices.. However that is an evil thought. Brian

No, the thing is we need not leave at all, since we are not alone in the camp of wanting to stop the federalism. As for immigration, No difference will be seen as has been mentioned elsewhere, if we trade with other countries they will want their labour force to be able to come here. Brian

Not sure I'd describe that as a lorry, of course it could be a crafty disguise, it could be a few million remain voters that got lost in 2016 when going to the polling station so weren't counted.

The problem there was that we werentl; allowed to traxde with other countires were we, unless the EU gave their OK. That is why rather than importing doctors and nurses from india we had to take on car cleaners from the EU.

Complete and utter bullshit!

The UK controls immigration and it has nothing to do with the EU!

The EU does not stop us trading with anyone either (other than if sanctions have been agreed).

No it isn't.

How can you have FREE movement of people and then reduce immegration. you can't.

So are you saying we could stop immigration from the EU after signing up to the FREE movement of people ?

India has already said it wants visa-free access for its citizens in return for a 'trade deal'.

Of course we were allowed to trade with other countries, s*it-fer-brains. We just couldn't arrange Trade Agreements with them.

I am pretty sure that in the past, with the trucks carry a large billboard on the back and look trangular or trapezoid from the back, they have got round the rules by having enough space within the billboard to have a load area and carry a few boxes of leaflets or the like.

Nothing the EU did made it more difficult to import Indian doctors. That was entirely due to decisions of the UK government. I know in some detail why we have fewer Indian doctors, if you're interested.

So what does the3 free movement of people mean within the EU ? As it's linked with free trade.

And if the UK wishes to keep immigration down then how does it do this with between 100,000 & 300,000 which arrive from the EU every year. That was what D. camooron said immigration to less than 100,000 a year.

How can we stop EU citizens coming to the UK without a visa all that's needed is a passport.

Well 60% of immigrants are from outside the EU so we could stop (some) of them.

They aren't likely to come if there are no jobs. So getting the jobs filled by UK people would stop that. Of course they are idle and don't want the jobs which is why the migrants do the work.

<snip>

If you stopped drooling on about penises <weirdo> and actually listened to what people were saying:

"As things stand, EU citizens who come to the UK to find work cannot claim jobseeker's allowance during their first three months in the country.

After that they can claim for a total of 91 days, which can be split across several periods of jobseeking. They can continue claiming beyond that period if they can demonstrate that they are actively looking for a job and are likely to get it.

After a total of six months they can be removed if they still have not found a job, and have no realistic possibility of finding one, and require support from the welfare system.

These rules have been in place since early 2014, and are in line with existing EU legislation. "

So, no need to leave the EU to deal with that.

So people that haven't jobs can come to the UK but not from ROTW.

Thats how the carers I knew got their jobs they'd heard about there being plenty of care jobs in the UK so came over to get a job.

No it was for all countries that;s why it was called the immigration figures.

We have no control over those from the EU.

And we do and have. But can we do this with EU immigrants ?

Yes they are, very likely they have done I know because I actually talk to them. It was on the BBC news the first one to come through customs on NYD said heb can do any job "I clean cars good" were his words, he didn't have a job.

Or people from other countries from anywhere in the world.

No there are many reasons of which you don't appear to understand any of them.

What people, and actions speak louder than words.

So you can;t count and now you've proved you can't read either.

There it proves you do NOT need ton have a job in order to come to the UK from the EU.

Can be removed IS NOT the same as being removed.

You still don't get it do you, no wonder the majority voted to leave.
