Now that LED Exterior Floodlights are replacing the old Halogen ones it is interesting to see that idiot installers are fitting them to shine into the houses opposite! New builds seem to get them within a few days of moving in.
Don't they realise that 50% of the light will be wasted? There will be a dark area under the light, neighbours will be annoyed, visitors dazzled?
I thing the design could be improved to make it more logical to point them downwards.
I just fitted one from Screwfix and it is angled such tha the "cut-off" of the beam is just below the top of my end fence.
