Can anyone recommend an outdoor pan and tiltable reasonable definition camera that has inbuilt webserver facilities that doesn't cost a king's ransom?

Something from Hikvision via Aliexpress maybe.

I have a couple of their indoor ones and they are not bad for the price

- image quality is good. Web interface is ActiveX based (spit) but that seems to be true of mist of the consumer grade ones...

Our village play area system was installed last year. Cameras are VHSDIR-87

0EXT in conjunction with a concept pro VXH264-4 dvr. The range and quality are excellent even with the on camera infrared illumination at night. The d vr is linked to a router and subject to password protection the system can be viewed/controlled remotely.

You subject had a question mark.

The rest seems to be a statement.

Did you actually want to ask something?

Or are you a just trying to spam a product?

I have an indoor one, which does all of that. Would be nice to find a suitable enclosure to allow it to be mounted outside.

I think John's only crime is missing a re: prefix in the subject of his reply to Andrew's question ...

I actually had *no idea* what you are referring to.

Until I dug back around the old read posts.

And thus you have twice made my point! Because you don't quote anything to maintain context.

Please don't assume that people actually have easy access to the previous posts - perhaps the newsreader crashed and deleted old cached posts or we've just set up a new reader on a new client wthat only downloads the last 24 hours' posts because 3G is slow - or maybe the NNTP server no longer has those posts.

Beyond that, quoting the relevant parts makes for much easier reading.

It's not pedantry - it's netiquette...
