I already have the traction engine. Present from SWMBO, new.
No problem, when I was a kid, I made a flashing light control for my Hornby Dublo train set's level crossing from a Meccano spring-loaded motor. Easy.
My son's still got the traction engine we bought him when he was a kid - and he's now 51!
