The oldest version of that Wiki appeared in 2005, so it's been on the cards for over twelve years. Whether anything has actually happened is another matter. Many years ago there was a proposal to bore a tunnel and lay a pipeline from the Mediterranean to the Dead Sea, to achieve similar ends, i.e. generate electricity and keep the DS from drying up any further. I think that proposal sank without trace. I wonder if this one will fare any better.

Do you think they should run it in 40mm or upgrade to 50mm?
