I don't know where you are located but many local radio stations have programmes that pursue local situations such as you describe. East Yorkshire has the Burnsy programme (@bbcburnsy) who regularly and on air take officialdom to task. This morning the local Council are being chastised about their SEN provision. Being placed in the cold harsh glare of publicity has very significant effect on recalcitrant departments.

Probably around drug offences. It never has made sense to me to make a potentially extremely dangerous drug like alcohol freely available, while making others no more dangerous, or even less so, illegal. Given there is rather obviously such a demand for them. And impossible to police adequately.
I only got a caution for criminal damage.

I suspect the eye drops are already legal:-)
They told me not to drive for 5 hours after the drops and then extended it for a month.
WTF were they putting in your eyes? No normal eye drop used in tests lasts that long!

Diagnosis changed from suspected detached retina to retina starved of oxygen by blood clot, apparently all blood clots cause DVSA to mandate a month with no driving.
