I would like one of those!
Those things they use (well, used to) in car showrooms are pretty good.
I had a toy wind-up car with that principle, so that it wouldn't fall off the edge of a table.
I remember seeing a film of a car doing exactly that, but it was much older 1920s or 30s car - where the spare wheel was mounted (as was usual then) on the outside of the back of the car.
