Why is it that all these renewable companies end up in court or just plain bust?

Because they rely so heavily on smoke and mirrors?

Actually unless he has said more elsewhere, in the old interview I heard he said may be going public. It seems that today you cannot actually postulate about your company. I suspect this has a lot to do with giving lawyers money for old rope. I am not a particular fan of the guy, but it does seem that in a country which prides itself on free speech, you get an awful lot of litigation about what people say. Brian

I rarely listen to Today any more; it's such a shame how it's gone downhill. But they had a guest on the other day; one of these trusty, Liberal-Greenie type guests so beloved by the BBC who was some big-shot academic specialising in the future of energy. He chirped along with the party line for most of the interview but when it came to the question, "how will we source our energy sustainably in future?" He replied with due solemnity that there was really nothing better out there that could beat nuclear! You could almost hear Justin Webb's heart breaking. Ha! Backfired again. :-D

Mmm. Well amongst True Believers in CO2 induced CAGW, nuclear IS seen as an option that works.

Where renewable energy does not.

there is a subtle shift in emphasis occurring. I think it all started with David Camerons 'green crap'

whilst people are reluctant to admit they have been conned over climate change, they are ready to believe - cos its all bloated capitialists innit - that renewable energy is a big scam.

The truth will always out eventually!

IIRC, (in UK terms) Tesla was already a public company. And like so many who started a company, still thought of it as his - rather than belonging to all the shareholders.

If he wanted to bring it back to private ownership, he could have bought up all the shares in the normal manner first. But that would have pushed the price up.
