The batteries would be taken out of the cycle if they weren't good enough.

Clearly not, look at the percentage power from wind compared to nuclear.

Wind, solar, wave, hydro, .... not all off at once.

That's because they are useless, not because they haven't been built.

So that's four power stations you want built - just to get the output of one?
