When your speedo and rev counter go up to maximum then back down again at switch on... is this a sign of a low battery ? ....

Manufacturers call it a "needle sweep" you can probablt turn it on/off in the menus, or via an OBD-II cable.
well mine used to do it but has stopped all on its own ....
Often a test mode. On one car I had with a manual button to reset the trip mileage meter holding down the button when starting the car put the dash into the test mode where the speedo and rev counter needles first did a a full traverse of the dial.
