Newel post fixing

Mar 11, 2009 1 Replies

Hi,

I have a newel post which I need to fix against the bottom of a brick wall - I can't mount a fixing vertically through the base of the post, so whatever I use will need to be driven in horizontally through the side of the post into the brick. Can anyone suggest what type of fixing I should use?

Thanks

Steve

Assuming its a 100mm post use these

but counterbore a 35mm deep hole in the post, of sufficient diameter to get a socket on the head.
