Meddings LB1 Mk III pillar drill- manual pdf?

Feb 27, 2015 3 Replies

Dear All, I have just acquired one of these sturdy old drilling machines. It's a litt le bit scruffy, but seems to run very well. Before putting it to work, I wo uld like to give it a partial strip down followed by a good clean, an inspe ction, then grease and reassemble.

It would be handy to have a manual for the drill but, unsurprisingly, the M eddings web site doesn't carry manuals for their 40-50 year old machines. D oes anyone know of a place where some kind soul might have uploaded the man ual as a pdf?

Cheers. Terry.

This lot seem to have it listed... not sure how much they will want for a manual though:

For money i'd guess

will have one but they are very expensive.

For free? Maybe best to ask on a UK based engineering message board or elsewhere on usenet.

Thanks for the replies, folks. I'll try asking around on the suggested foru ms, since I'm not sure that I can stomach paying for a store bought manual; the machine isn't so complicated as to warrant it.

I think that my first job with the drill will be to assist me in making som e kind of spinal support device that I now need after shifting the bloody t hing. My God, it's HEAVY!

Regards,

Terry.
