Our old canal boat in France has two sliding doors with 'hook' locks. They are getting a bit unreliable (they are 50 years or so old) so I'd like to replace them. If possible I'd like something similar enough to fit without too much modification.

Thanks, that's the sort of thing OK. I'll have to study their drwaings carefully. As I'm in the EU (at the moment) I might be able to get them sent to me here.
Brilliant, thank you. The existing locks are made by Nemef and I had already searched their website but couldn't find anything that looked right. The brochure you have found seems to have exactly what I want, thank you very much.
Lightly shortened to avoid wrapping
And perhaps open the old ones and see if the can't be rejuvenated, once you know you can get a replacement?
Sometimes swapping "left" and "right" parts in a set of two locks can get another 50 years of wear out of them...
