All, I am in the process of researching what to buy, and how to lay, laminate. I have chosen Quick Step 800 laminate, and am not sorting the underlay. Chances are I will go for the standard quick step stuff (underfloor is chipboard in a new flat). But, how do I lay the underlay ?? Where the strips join do I need to overlap and tape them, and if so how much overlap ?? If you do overlap, will this not make the floor uneven at the points where the underlay is overlapped ?? If I need to tape the sections, whats the best stuff to use.
