Has anyone purchased a John Carr front doorset from Jeld-Wen (via Travis Perkins ?).
I cant seem to get a straight answer to a simple question out of any of them !
Their catalogue has plenty of external doors, lots of nice colours. So I pick one that I like, and I'd like it in Blue for example.
So my question is : Do they supply them with all the Ironmongery finished in the Colour of your choice ?
or Do they only provide a Base coat, so that you have to remove the Ironmongery, mask off the glazing and spend a few nights painting your doorset before you can fit it ?
So far I've been told by Jeld-wen
a) Yes, you just specify the colour you want (e.g. Cobalt Blue) and its delivered fully finished b) No, Only a base coat is applied, ready for on-site finishing c) Some of the doors can be supplied fully finished.
Answers gratefully received. All's I want is nice new front door !!!!
