When I get around to taking out an old wall mounted gas heater I’ll probably cement up all the holes but as a temporary measure a simple bung would be handy.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen things like it for blocking up old overflow outlet holes but I can’t find the right words to search for it.
Can anyone help?

If it's just to keep out the wind, some scrunched up newspaper is fine.
When they put in smart meters here they used some sort of putty-like gunge - but I don't what it is called.
Regular visits are going on as they try to get the smart system to work. I'll try to remember to ask what it was on their next visit (next Monday) !
I would think that there are vehicle panel retainers that would work.

Expanding foam, then you don't have to worry about finding something to fit
Probably the best idea tbh. Will solve the issue of insulating the hole where a gas fire flue comes out.
