Well they're not his apprentices. Perhaps he's building up to the 16 inch clearance below joists and 120 years of coal dust, soot, gas pipes, rusty razor blades etc?

I think you forgot the hosing down in order to get clean enough to be allowed in the bathroom ;)

Given the choice I'd rather have a cellar.

IIRC I gave him a lump hammer and the instruction to 'knock down that wall' Not quite how I'd have done it myself, but hey...

He's been helping me chase out cable runs and doing some rewiring work over the past couple of weekends, before leaving for uni for the first time this weekend, so hopefully I've done my bit to 'train' him!
