Yup. For people used to some Ni-Cads self discharging while you watch them, a decent lead acid comes as a surprise.

Your assuming she doesn't turn it on until she becomes aware that there is some one about. You know what they say "you don't hear the one that gets you"...
If she's a bit jumpy and fires it off every time a mouse farts it won't be long before it's flat.
