Check the cables, pulleys and bearings are all OK and lube'd, had a pulley break-up on a similar type and it was a pig to sort, be VERY careful those springs are dangerous!!!!

i have a king 7x7 door with spring above with cables.the cables have gone loose and the door weighs a ton to open.any ideas how to fix it would be very helpfull thankyou
These people supply spares for garage doors, including King doors. Their website contains lots of useful info and for some doors ( inc. mine ! ) fitting instructions / diagrams / tips etc
