A couple weeks ago I was advised here to try lubricating a garage door that
stuck when cold.
I put some triflow on it and the difference was dramatic. However triflow
seems too thin to be the correct lubricant. What should be used on a garage
Another vote for sprays. A roller broke on my garage door yesterday. Went to
a garage door specialist who's been in the biz since forever. The guy said
they use either teflon spray, or white lithium spray. No more thick grease -
too hard to clean off, which, in a garage, is often necessary due to all the
dust. The thick stuff tends to attract more filth.
I asked the local door company this question when they installed a new
opener, and they said to use an industrial spray lubricant called "LPS-
2". It should be available at any place that services garage doors (it's
also used for a ton of other things, so you might also find it at a
