Halogen work lights and outdoor lights - chuck?

Question

I have several of the budget work lights which are basically halogen outdoor floodlights on a metal stand.

I also have a couple of still boxed and unused halogen outdoor lights, one with PIR.

They are around 150W or more, I think.

Given the vast number of LED outside lights (and my CFL work light) are these any real use, or just a means of throwing away money?

Fed up with clearing out the shed - especially with all the paint which can't be disposed of in any easy and environmentally friendly fashion. Even then the whole lot goes into landfill.

Quite good instead of a fan heater in the shed as well.

I'm also going very, very slowly clearing out the garage. Then some of the stuff worth keeping in the 3 sheds can be put neatly in there while I clear them out.

Have to get it done before they ban diesel cars and I can no longer afford to drive to the tip.

One sometimes useful feature of halogen work lights is the heat they  project. Woking outside or somewhere unheated the half kW or more of  projected heat can be quite welcome.

So supra-red space heaters?

Possibly worth considering until I get the stove installed in the shed. My current temporary heating is a propane gas fire and IIRC electricity is cheaper than propane. Then again I could just use a fan heater.
