Guess what the van did this morning?

Van not car. Different miles per day to make up the 650 miles (5 days)

I also like the heater on in winter and do 88MPH on a motorway.

That happened here the other week. A car and a van, not a cherrypicker.

Someone turned up with a Nissan Effoff and a very long towing strap to stay on dry land while pulling the bogged vehicles out.

Misjudged the angle of the towing strap, didn't watch the towing angle, and pulled the back corner of the car smash into the substation paling fence with the delicate crunching of brakelights.

Derv is supposed to be ok but there is something strange going on with agricultural gas oil (red diesel). To appease the green lobby, 5% organic source oil has been added for some time. Recently this has been upped to 7% and other sources including palm oil used.

The issue stems from these oils not being water repellent and excellent hosts for fungal growth. Most agricultural fuel storage is above ground and risks tank condensation through thermal cycling.

The problem arises because modern tractors have 2 micron fuel filters which block after a few hours use.

I am sure Google can tell you more:-)

He's not that way inclined. YMMV

I spent most of last week working outside. That's what thermal clothing is for.

I'll be buggered if I am going to drive a van to work with iced up windows.

Anyway it's no allowed on building sites these days. There's big signs everywhere. NO BUMMING. There's just too many rules and regulations these days.

You can get additives that keep the fungal growth at bay.

So take a big dog, and insist that it is a 'comfort' dog and you need to have it with you. Works with airlines.

Greyhounds are very hot, and happy to laze around all day.

Something the greenies haven't factored in to their insane plans to make petrol and diesel cars/vans illegal.

Stand by for 'charger rage' as people fight over charging stations on the motorways and main roads like the A1 during freezing fog

BAd news for Orang Utans too. It's their home being destroyed to plant palm trees, plus the Amazon, burnt to allow maize to be grown for biodiesel.

I gather the queues at the tesla superchargers were impressive for thanksgiving weekend ...

Ah, that's your mistake - you should have got hold of a second-hand clown car.

Giving thanks I own a diesel.

Had intermittent problems with my Lexus. Diesel specialist correctly found the culprit to be the suction control valve. YMMV

It's just doing it in stages then.
