When we fitted an oak T&G floor, the knots had been filled with a grey filler which turned brown when oiled. I have now seen some hardwood veneered plywood with the same filler.
It looks as though it might be some sort of epoxy-resin based filler, but I wouldn't have expect that to absorb any oil.
Does anyone know what it is, and where to buy it?
