My Google-fu has abandoned me, since I can't find them either on the Elica web site or anywhere else. I want 2 aluminium grease filters for an Elica ELBHT80 cooker hood (so I can have one set in the dishwasher while using the other set). They're 327mm x 176mm with catch and retaining lugs on the long edges.
Although looking at the prices of the incorrect ones, I may well not bother. £15 for some aluminium mesh in a crappy frame???
Could you not just use a generic foam/paper filter cut to size and then chuck it when it gets full of grease?
Is there any evidence that non-vented cooker hoods do much at all? I have to say that I've always seen mine as an expensive noisy light ;-)
This *is* a vented one. The filters are to stop the insides from gumming up with grease. They look like this;
You take them out and dishwash them at regular intervals, except I always forget, and then seem to end up running the hood without them until I next run the dishwasher, so I wanted some spares. I fear I am going to have to go back to the supplier of the hood (which is only
8 months old) and pay full retail. :o(

There's nowhere to mount a generic filter - these things have a frame - which brings me back to where I came in ...
(BTW, I found in our last house that J-Cloths made excellent cooker hood filters for about 10% of the cost of the genuine article.
Doesn't this one have the duct option?
I have to say that putting the filter in the dishwasher to run with the overnight load means that a single filter is enough for me.

Yes, and it is ducted. As Graham said, non-vented ones are cr@p.
I expect you're better organised than me. I only remember them when they start to drip onto whatever it is I'm cooking. :o(
Not yet. I wanted to see if I could get some non-OEM ones first, before putting my kidney on eBay.
As an alternative - don't cook using grease :)
My Elica flashes the indicator when it decides the filter needs a wash. It probably has quite an easy life as we don't eat meat, and do little frying.

It's the wrong one, anyway. The Elica site sucks harder than their cooker hoods.

Those look very similar to my Neff screens, is Elica another Bosch/Neff/Siemens-alike?
Elica make a metric shedload of cooker hoods under their own and lots of other brand names. I doubt there is a electrical appliance brand in Europe that makes their own hood but would love to be proved wrong.
