I watched a little having heard elsewhere about their poor technical production values. What lovers of it would call teething problems. And there were plenty of those. I'd guess because they don't use any professionals on the technical side.

Placing TV Advertising by most corporate bodies is farmed out to a consolidator, who will simply scatter the adverts around the available channels to attempt to get the best "eyes per buck" matching the target audience requested by the corporate. With the corporate having no day to day oversight of the choices.

You do like the word 'bigot' don't you? Have you just learnt it? Market research is done to establish if there is a demand for a product in the first place. In this instance to see if there are sufficient people to support a new TV station with a particular format. The viewers of that station will have a predominant demographic; you know, like the BBC which you so dislike. You obviously also fit that demographic otherwise you would not favour it to the extent that you say you do.

That particular demographic may not suit some advertisers for whatever reason.
