Because you hear things that you find hard to refute. You have a closed mind.

Bill

I think he was more effective than Obama, despite being a big-headed pillock.

Bill

It's actually the transparency of the BBC's bias that is GB News's best selling point. If the national broadcaster was a bit more even handed GB News wouldn't get anywhere.

Bill

That's a shame, because these days, he's just about the only seriously credible political interviewer, with a wide-ranging knowledge and appreciation of the subject(s) in the British broadcast media.

The Dimblebys, Robin Day, Bernard Levin, all long-gone.

There's a pattern developing there!

Only that which is worth watching. And there isn't all that much of it.

I read them saying that's what they'd modelled it on. Fox News is, I believe, popular and profitable. And the primary purpose of GB News is to make money.

I'm surprised you like a Scot on your English TV?

Brilliant bit of reasoning, Bill. I hear things I find hard to refute from someone I never watch. Your crystal ball must be red hot.

Well, we also have ITV, Channel 4 and 5 as national broadcasters. And easy access to the English language news service of others. And that's just TV.

Since non of them suit your political views, could be you're a bit odd?

To decide Andrew Neil is such a paragon, you'd surely need a good knowledge of all the others?

If you have never watched and listened to Andrew Neil (hard to believe), it is mystifying that you are so set against it.

Why so anti if you've never heard him?

Can you name anyone else remotely in the same league?

I suppose we should all be grateful that Jones and O'Brien aren't on TV news.

More like the left thinking are actually very bigoted?

I've seen many statements from them saying exactly the opposite.

If they've been able to identify a gap in the market that has been caused by the leftist bias of the other channels then they are right to exploit it. That's how capitalism works. Since capitalism is responsible for our present extremely cushy lifestyle I'm all in favour of it.

Bill

He speaks perfect English and he has a Western European mindset. What's not to like?

Bill

Alright. Because you fear that you might hear things that you find hard to refute.

Bill

I used 'BBC' as shorthand. You know the full situation as well as I do.

Channel Four: The news programme is absurdly biased to the left. Most of the commissioned programmes are left-leaning.

ITV: Pays lip service to woke causes.

C5: Has a decent range of programmes but is still inclined to the left sometimes.

Quest: The same multiculti ads as all the rest because they don't have control over the adverts, but most of the programmes are free of bias.

CNN: very left wing.

Bill

Why. Have you actually watched it?

I am listening right now to a very balanced honest and brave discussion on the problems of prosecuting rape cases.

two days ago Lord Ridley gave the most balanced opinion on 'net zero' policy which basically asked for it to be costed. Holistically. And compared with the costs of doing nothing.

It is actually ILLEGAL for government policy to be voted on if it hasn't been costed.
