Does using a master password in Firefox give you more or less security?

Assuming you don't use a weak master password or the same as you use elsewhere, it should increase, because you can allow firefox to generate strong passwords for each website, that you don't need remember.
If you trust Mozilla you can allow it to sync firefox on various machines via the cloud, which acts as a backup of them.
Not worth rising trusting all your strong passwords for bank accounts, credit cards, financial institutions all in one go to a third party remote cloud.
No, I don't allow firefox so store any passwords, I use EnPass, but even that I don't allow to store banking credentials, they all require OTP of one form or another.
