Electricity prices - Standing Charge, Standard Energy and Offpeak Energy

I did the calculations based on equal percentage rises for both gas and electricity, but even so it doesn't seem much of a gamble to avoid this offer. It appears to be designed to bring cash into Octopus sooner rather than later.

That would require them to be forced to have smart meters that could be switch off remotely. Hmm.... Bring it on! :)

I'll agree to have a smart meter only when the supplier can supply me with 100% guarranteed nuclear electricity and never charges me for any green bollocks. (Though I consider nuclear to be green :) )

When I was with OVO, they kept asking me how they could make things better. I used to respond by saying what you did above, adding that when the wind didn't blow and the sun didn't shine, like it did for two weeks this winter, those on green energy could just freeze, I never got a reply...

My supplier is trying to bribe me with 50 squid to have one of their corrupt devices , why read and write ,the s**te?

When you?re forced (or chose) to have an EV, you can enjoy being at the back of a very long queue of people desperate for smart meters.

Just looking at my latest bill from Clearbusiness, £1.90 per day standing charge and £0.49 per unit.

They know how to make friends don't they?
