That's about the only thing they clean though. Dogs need a bath regularly, cats don't. Dogs need their claws clipping, cats do that themselves. Cats are independent creatures and need very little looking after.

I've *never* met a dog that couldn't be smelt by someone who didn't constantly live with the odour, which is intensified when the dog is damp or wet. The owners, on the other hand *always* claim that *their* dog doesn't smell. Kind of like the way that people get used to their own B.O. and that of the people they live with.

It is very normal for cats to s*it in the house. Their owners even encourage it by buying litter trays would you believe? Litter trays stink.
