Cure your crappy Citroen* infortainment system with this one weird trick ..

With tiresome predictability, the infotainment system on our Citroen decided to f*ck up on the first long journey in 18 months. Set off with my phone playing a podcast via bluetooth and 5 minutes into a 3 hour journey the console started restarting every 3-4 minutes.

After some googling, I saw a repeated suggestion that tuning the DAB source to "Absolute Radio" (even though you don't then select the source to listen to would cure it).

And - after 3 weeks, it seems to have done the trick. Which I accidentally confirmed by trying to find my local radio station on DAB instead of FM.

DAB, eh ? I'm still living without it. What a crock.

What's all this bollocks about? Approxiately 0% to do with DIY, and approximately 100% about your appalling driving technique.

Love to have an explanation of that.

BTW, DAB in a car round this part of the SE is way superior to FM, reception wise.

Well, I don't see the latter whether true onr not has anything to do with the problems concerned, surely playing mp3 files should not be affected by the state of a DAB Radio. It sounds like a control logic error of some kind in the software, most certainly if its a recent vehicle they should be able to fix it with an update. Brian
