I think that's below the amount whereby the credit card company have a legal liability, although many will still pursue it for you.

The other thing is that if google checkout works like paypal, the card company will treat it as a cash payment to google checkout, not payment for goods -- they would send you to google checkout to get your money back. Having a glance through the google checkout pages, there doesn't seem to be any possibility to do this once a seller has folded, which would make google checkout an extremely bad choice for paying for items if that is the case.

yes ii would agree with you about google check out but we will try the bank and see what they say but as for cornwall it time someone clicked that the are scamming think it a disgrace they must have made a fortune if they have done this to all customers .
