A five hour charge on the only battery is not going to make it a keeper. You want amp hours more than anything else, including battery voltage.

If you want such a device for heavy use you'd need more than one battery anyway. Perhaps several.

For occasional DIY use - where mains isn't an option - the time it takes for the battery to charge may not matter so much.

What I'm saying is don't expect a pro Makita at ALDI prices. But that doesn't mean the ALDI one is useless.
